Our significant investment and what it means for the agency's growth.

Here at Thompson we value creative excellence, we love to learn, and we particularly like learning from brilliant people. That’s why, with our commitment to growth, and an increased focus on delivering exceptional strategic and creative excellence, investing in three brilliant minds was the easiest decision we’ve made this year.

    First up’s Mark Runacus, former co-owner of London-based advertising agency Karmarama. Mark’s been appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Director and is here to help shape our strategic direction while supporting the team as we develop opportunities for growth. Mark is Planning Partner and Co-Founder of new hybrid creative/media agency Wax/On, Non-Executive Chairman of the DMA (UK) Group and President of advertising’s LGBT+ network PrideAM.

    Davnet Reid, Head of Marketing Performance at Sky Bet, also joins us as a Non-Executive Director, taking up the position of Chair of the Board. With over 15 years’ of client-side experience she’ll be bringing us crucial client insight, helping the team deliver insight-led services and products that truly meet clients’ needs.

    Bob Sanderson has also joined Team Thompson in the role of Creative Director. Bringing with him his exceptional design pedigree, and 15+ years’ experience running his own agency, Bob’s here to ensure we continue to deliver creative excellence, something he’s no stranger to with past clients including Coca-Cola and Haagen-Dazs. As we move into new territories and expand our client base Bob will also be focused on pushing those standards higher, growing the design team and its skillset as part of the process.

  • The hires follow Sue Beevers, previously MD of Brahm and Jaywing, who joined us last year to lead on operations, bolstering the team and improving processes of profitability.

    Bob says: “Thompson’s commitment to delivering award-winning, strategy-led design work is exactly in line with my own.     Our founder Ian Thompson will be supporting Bob, in an Executive Creative Director role. He will continue to oversee the creative direction and quality of the agency, as well as supporting the team as we head into this new, exciting phase.
